New Head of Florence Division!

Since March 1st, Paolo Mazzetti is the new head of Florence Division.

Paolo Mazzetti holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and began working on microwave remote sensing.

He taught Telematics and Communication Networks at the University of Florence, Italy, for ten years and joined CNR in 2005, where he is the scientific coordinator of the "Geospatial information and ENvironmental knowledge Sharing" (GENS) Research Group.

He has more than ten years’ experience in design and development of infrastructures and services for geo-spatial data sharing in the context of national, European and global initiatives.

Paolo Mazzetti succeeds Stefano Nativi who is now seconded at DG Joint Research Centre of European Commission · Ispra as Big Data Lead Scientist.
